RITE OF RECONCILIATION: We are invited to once again to come together as parishes
in the South Bristol Deanery for the Rite of Reconciliation of several penitents
with General Confession and Absolution. This is to be celebrated on the Feast of the
Exaltation of the Holy Cross, on Friday 13th September at 7.30pm at Christ the King,
Knowle West, BS4 1JN.

MEDITATION GROUP:  will meet on Tuesday 3rd September at 2.30pm in the Walsingham Room and
fortnightly thereafter. The next Saturday meditation will be on 7th September
at 10.45am and then on the 1st Saturday of each month. Margaret Wilson.
THE KEYNSHAM FOOD BANK: is experiencing greater pressure on stocks,
especially with the school summer holidays. These are the most urgently needed at the
moment and your help is greatly appreciated: tinned fruit (we have none), custard (we
have none), biscuits/crisps (very low stocks), savoury rice, beans with sausages, pasta
sauce, hotdogs/meatballs, tinned tuna, sugar, UHT milk. Christine Pidcock.
FRIENDS IN NEED: urgently require the help of new volunteer drivers (temporary or
permanent) and a new co-ordinator (from home one day a week) to assist the already
busy current volunteers. The co-ordinator takes details by phone and matches the journey
required with a driver. Drivers take those unable to take themselves to hospital or GP
appointments in Keynsham, Bristol and Bath. If you can help with either of these roles or

NO ART GROUP MEETING IN AUGUST: due to a clash of appointments. Back as usual first
Wednesday in September. Many apologies. Carol and Brian.
CTKS CHRISTMAS LUNCH: Churches Together in Keynsham and Saltford hopes once again
to provide a Christmas lunch on Christmas Day for anyone who might otherwise
be spending the day alone. Planning will soon be undersay but first we are appealing
for a volunteer to oversee the cooking of food for approximately thirty guests
plus volunteers. If you are interested or would like more information please contact

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP: a Bible study class welcoming men, women and children,
whatever their church background, walk of life or level of Bible knowledge, is offering a unique
way to study God's word. Starting in September we will be studying The Acts of the Apostles
and the letters of the apostles. We meet in Stoke Gifford, 5 min walk from Parkway station but
for a lift in a car and further information contact Pat Clarke on 07510 104037.
For women: Tuesday mornings with programme for pre-school children.
For men and women: Monday evenings with programme for school age children.
